EARTH is a collection of Jan's commissioned music written to accompany the classic silent film by Dovzhenko. A soviet propaganda film that he transformed into a near mystical vision of the Ukrainian countryside and it's people. The music follows different scenes through the film and follows that beguiling mixture of hope, despair, mystery and sadness, playing tenor and alto saxes Jan is joined by daughter Janine Kopinska on viola and long time musical colleague Steve Iliffe on grand piano.
